Welcome to Adopting Homeschool!
I’ve built this website and blog to share my story with the hope of encouraging, motivating and educating others. As an adoptive mother I am excited to inform others about the process of adoption. I want to share our story and address some of the issues we face as an adoptive family. Consequently, I can’t talk about adoption without mentioning infertility. It has been a predominant theme in my life for almost a decade now and has played a role in many of the choices I have made along the way. Infertility is a difficult topic, but it is a real concern for many and needs to be explored for those who struggle. I want to share my journey with others to let them know that they are not alone.
It is impossible for me to delve into my infertility story without mentioning where it took me personally. Along the way I was adopted into God’s eternal family that has changed the course of my life and introduced me to a Creator that has a plan for me. One of the plans I hope to pursue is to homeschool my children. My family is at the beginning of this adventure and wants to offer you a peek into how we do school.
The word adoption can be defined as ‘making something your own’ and here at Adopting Homeschool that is my theme. It means making our family through adoption. Making homeschool our education choice for our children. Making our personal experiences meaningful. And, making God a priority in our family. Not only have we adopted our children, but we have adopted homeschool as a way of life, and we have been adopted into an eternal family. I hope my blog encourages, motivates and educates you in regards to adoption, homeschooling, infertility and Jesus. I am so glad that you’ve stopped by and hope you stick around to follow our journey!
“In love, He predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will.” Ephesians 1:5 NIV
