Hey! My name is Becca and I am so glad you are visiting my site! I am the voice behind this blog and hope you find it helpful and encouraging!
Here is a little about me…
First and foremost, I am a Christian. Being a Christian doesn’t mean that I am better than anyone else or even that I’m good. If fact, it means the opposite. It means that I am a fallible human being in need of forgiveness. It means that I am aware of the fact that if I were calling all the shots in my life it would be a complete mess. It means that I know I need a Savior to forgive me for my mess ups and a Father to guide me in the right direction. I need Jesus and I want to know Him, love Him and follow Him. I’m a work in progress, but I am confident that He who began this work in me will carry it to completion (Philippians 1:6). I am a poor, hungry beggar just like most, but I know where to find the Bread of Life and I want to tell others where they can be fed too.
Jesus declared “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.” ~John 6:35 NIV
Next, I am a wife to an amazing, hardworking, handsome man. He is an involved, loving, hands on daddy to our children. My Man has stood by my side through the trials life has thrown our way and has lovingly supported me unwaveringly. He too is a poor, hungry beggar and with the help of Jesus, he is leading our family faithfully.
My journey to motherhood and Jesus began in the barren land of infertility. After years of feeling hopeless in a desolate place, I met a God who had a plan for my life. He used my struggles for good, taught me much and changed me along the way. I have endured nine years of infertility, experienced the devastation of miscarriage, navigated the treacherous foster care system, welcomed some pretty awesome kids into my home, and ultimately adopted my two beautiful babies. Along the way I was adopted into an eternal family and found hope and purpose
I am a lucky mommy to the two most adorable children! They both joined our family through the blessed journey of adoption, but each in their own special way.
Introducing My Little Lady
Little Lady is four and a half years old and was my first baby. She has been a part of our family since she was two weeks old. She is smart, funny and outgoing. She appreciates conversation and loves to dance fully adorned in frilly things.
Introducing My Little Man
Little Man is two and a half years old and was our lucky number seven. He has been a part of our family since he was five days old. He is happy, busy and determined. His smile is contagious and he is built tough, using his strength to his advantage.
We are also homeschoolers, choosing to go against the grain to educate our children at home. We are just beginning this journey and are hopeful it will be a blessed, wonderful experience for our entire family.
Where I am today is a testament to my God. My journey, including the many difficult days, has been blessed. God has never left my side and he daily provides me with strength to walk through the valleys and rejoices with me as I appreciate the mountaintop views. My travels are not over and I’m excited to see where we will go next!
It is my desire to share my experiences to encourage, educate and motivate others in the areas of adoption, homeschooling, infertility and Jesus when you visit our site. I hope you will stick around to see where we are headed!
